19 years & beyond...

Assalamualaikum

I feel happy today! Alhamdulillah =) I got the chance to meet some of my wonderful friends...And most of all, I got to meet with Nadia, my 'oldest' friend in this world...

We have been friend since primary One, that is when I was like 7 years old...and up till now (please do the math on your own), we still keep in touch and shared our vision and series of our lives...Hehehe...

Me & Nad

She is such a wonderful friend...who will always willing to listen to my ramblings and annoying comments, will always hear my stories and tell her amusing stories. And I really find that MOST of her stories are amazing! She is funny and adorable. Never fail to make me laugh. Always concern about my current situation and even willing to help me in finding for me a future husband! Great isn't it? Heeee~

May ALLAH grant her happiness in this life and the hereafter. Ameeen...

Ok, besides meeting with her, I went for the solemnization of one of my former schoolmates, Susie...The event was simple and one of the best thing is that: it was held in a MOSQUE! It is one of my dream to do my solemnization in a mosque too! =)

Below are some of the captured moments:

The Shy Bride

The Calm Groom
The Excited Girl

The Great Sister

After that, we went to Swensens for some chillax moment...

Rabiul & DaLiLah

Khudaijah & me

The Burning Waiter
The Fondue *YummY*

So we sat there for like an hour and doing some story-telling and updates. Nadia told us about the incident about the late 'Giant' who passed away in Cairo. It is like a wake up call for me after hearing to such stories.

This life, I have been taking it for granted. Always procrastinating things that are important and pursue things that are not even worth at all...

But now, Alhamdulillah...after that night, I realized that I have to be strong. I will not going to bother about my love life anymore. This may sounds wrong. Ok, let me put it correctly. I will think about it, but not going to emphasize on it anymore. Previously, I put too much concern into it. Always worried, concerned and whatever la. but now, I will try to be strong. and when the right person comes, I will tie the knot. InsyaAllah =)

All these things will go along the way. But right now, I will have to do important things which I have been neglected for the past few years...such as, purifying my heart and soul. I want to reconnected with my Creator. so that when the time come for me to face him, I can face him in a good condition. I do not want to face HIM in a bad condition. because HE had created in a good condition. Therefore, I will have to return to HIM in that way too.

I know that it will not be an easy way. Therefore I am asking duaa (prayers) from you =)

I pray the best for all of you too, my lovely readers! Jazakumullah khair. May Allah bless!

Post FAREwell

Yesterday it was.

The so-called big day for me in IIUM. Hehehe...

For my readers, who are not from IIUM or ASSIIUM, it is an event which will be held especially for those who are going to graduate for the current semester. During the event, those people will have to present whatever they had gain and shared their experiences with the juniors. Btw, it is an annual event for ASSIIUM (Association of Singapore Students of IIUM), which mean it will be organised for every semester.

When I was in my early years in IIUM, the events which I will always waited for is Taaruf and Farewell. It is my FAVOURITE event! Because during taaruf, I get to know the new students! I like to meet new people in life. REaLLY! And as for farewell, I like to listen to the experiences' of my seniors. It was really interesting!!!

And after all these years, watching people leave IIUM, it was my turn now...

The event started with recitation of some verses of Al-Quran. A video presentation which was dedicated especially for us. Then, some performances and speeches from us. During my time, I took the opportunity to voice out some of my words of wisdom. Ahaks! mcm real je aku
And as FYI, I am really NOT a serious person. Therefore, I added some jokes in my speech. It is not that I am NOT serious at all. It is just within my personality. I do not want people to be sad just because it IS my farewell. I want them to be happy, eventhough I had gone.because sadness cannot change anything.

I would have to leave everything eventhough it is hard...

Because that's what LIFE is.

You MOVE ON.

You did NOT stop at one phase.

You might be pause for a moment.

But then you will have to continue.

Just like our life in this world.

All these are just temporary.

We will leave it ONE day.

Percubaan Pertama

Bismillah....

Untuk entry kali ni, nak try type dalam bahasa Melayu pulak... tapi bukan fully Malay ar...bahasa rojak la...hehehe..

Ok, so here the story goes...kita buat some recap sikit k ;)

Friday: Hari yang BEST! Gi HS dalam pukul 11 sebab nak brunch. Sampai je, ramai adek2 yang dah ada kat situ. Diorang sibuk2 nak pre-reg, tgk schedule etc. Al-maklumlah, first year. Teringat masa aku first year dolu2. hehehe... OH NO!!!! Aku paling tak suka class malam. but what to do....REdha jer la...OK, Pas class, contact Nuya sebab nak practice drive. Then nuya kata, dia amek aku pas solat Jumaat. sO aku pegi la masjid dulu untuk bersolat Jumaat. Lepas solat, aku dapat main2 drive dgn Nuya, Sakinah & Loy. Best sangat2! Aku dah suka & tak takot lagi untuk drive. ALhamdulillah =) Practice sampai petang. Then malam tu, Bluefairy & MooN datang bilik aku. Kita buat sesi Kara-OK gila2. Hahaha...mmg best untuk nak menghilangkan stress.

Saturday:
Turun HS dalam pukul 1045am dengan Sarah. Jumpa MOon & EDa. Bebual2 kejap. Then jumpa Bluefairy & Asier. Farhan pun sampai. BEbual2 jap, pastu diorang nak kuar. Tinggallah aku dgn Farhan je. Pastu, Farhan nak gi amek robe untuk kak Sarah, so tinggal lah aku sorang dgn barang2. hehe. Masa tgh duduk sorang, jumpa OpeL, Fasihah & Shitah. Ramai nye orang yang aku jumpa niari. Hepinyeeeee. Hehehe.

Dalam pukul 1230+, W datang sbb nak amek muvee dari aku. Mula2 tu, dia kata malas nak datang sbb hari tu hujan. Dia malas nak bangun. Abeh, lepas aku dah marah2 dia, dia datang jugak. sbb aku dah penat2 bawak laptop, abeh senang2 je nak cancel. Haiyo...ingat aku ni apa? Nak tak nak, dia kena la turun jugak walaupun lambat. Hehehe. Nasib baik aku lama jugak kat HS.

Bila dia dah sampai, semangat nak tunjuk aku video2 bola yang dia save. Aku pun layan je. Memang best ar. Skill diorg SUPERB! Kalah pemain2 yg professional ;) Kita duduk lama jugak. Lepas zohor tu, aku jumpa Megat & Shady. W pun ada jugak. Tapi kita bebual tanpa menghiraukan dia yang duduk disebelah aku...Hahaha. cian dia But, who cares? Dia pun tak kisah...hehehe. Tapi bila dia dah boring, dia pun decide untuk membawa dirinya keluar. Hehe. Aku teruskan perbualan aku dgn shady & Megat. Best Lah!! Dah lama tak jumpa, so macam2 cerita keluar. hehehe. Dalam pukul 3 gitu, aku alek. Megat hantar sampai Mahallah. weeee~

Lepas asar, keluar Lagi =D. Berangkat dari UIA dgn Hyni, Nuya & Zimah. Jumpa Bluefairy & ASier. Pegi Times Square. Masa OTW tu, Dyat sms. Aku ajak dia join kita. Then dia pun kata Ok. Kita gi makan kat Secret REcipe. Then half way tu, Dyat sampai. Dia blanja kita!!! Wuhooooo~
Hepi tak terkata. Kalau tahu dia nak belanja, aku order yang mahal2 sey Hehehe.
Lepas makan tu, gi solat & main bowling. AKu tak main sbb Bowling is not my thing, so jadi observer je la. Aku dapat beli satu baju. heeeee~ Overall of the outing, BEST!

Sunday: Pagi2 lagi dah keluar untuk nak support budak2 main netball. Game habis dalam pukul 12 lebih. Kita pegi lunch kat HS. Then balek, tido jap. Dlm pukul 3+ gitu, Light datang bilik. Share2 story & tgk VMA. Kekek sey ketawa. Mepek betol. Dia stay sampai maghrib. Then, lepas tu, aku sambung tgk muvee. muvee marathon habis ar. Nak habiskan muvee2 dalam lappy ni, jadi boleh delete. heeee~

OK, enough of the recap.

So, aku nak try control la.

Owh one more thing, I think my feelings towards someone have changed. I DO realize that he is my bestfriend, but I can't help falling for him. However, from days to days, this feeling keep fading and I soon realized that I am coming back to like him as my bestfriend! Weeee~ I am happy with these feelings transition of mine ;) I will not have to think on ways of how to express my true feelings for him. YeaY! And indeed, feelings are not permanently static. It can be change through time and experience. However, the TRUE original feelings will always remain the same. Just like this feeling of mine. A bestfriend will always remain a BESTFRIEND x)

AlaMaaaaaaaaaaaK...mana Melayu aku? Haiz....

A thing about Rayer

As you all know that I am not in the mood for Rayer, therefore I won't be blogging anything about my Rayer celebration.

Right now, I cannot sleep after came back from the WHOLE day of RAYER visiting.

Sometimes I just felt that as a Malay Muslim, we took for granted of these ISLAMIC celebration. This Rayer thingy is more to CULTURAL celebration, rather than ISLAMIC celebration. AS a born Malay Muslim, that is how I felt sometimes. But when I put myself in a situation as a MUSLIM rather than a MALAY MUSLIM, I found that this celebration is meaningful when you are able to achieve some of the goals which you have set during Ramadhan.

Sorry to say this, but most of the Malay, they regarded this Eidulfitri as their OWN celebration. They have their Own tradition to celebrate this festival. They have their Rayer songs, foods etc.

You may say that the Arabs also might have their way to celebrate it. Yeah, but at least they are not as exaggerated as WE did. They did not celebrated it for the wHoLe Syawal, although they did the fastings for the WHOLE Ramadhan.

The question is: is Eidulfitri a celebration of faith or celebration of culture?

I may be a bit sarcistic. But I just could not help not to think about it. I do celebrate it, but not for the whole month. I did some house-visiting, in order to refresh our blood-relationship. As everybody would notice that nowadays, people are attached more to their friends, rather that relatives. And that includes ME!

Sometimes I am grateful that there is Syawal. I would always say this to myself:
"Nasib baik lah ada rayer...Kalau tak, mesti kita tak kenal sape sedara kita..."

I do not want to say that myself is all the goody-goody type, as I am NOT. But I really MISSED Ramadhan. *sigh*

Month of Forgiveness and Mercy

We are now entering the Holy month of Ramadhan...

Am preparing myself to enter the battlefield with my own desire...

Must increase my discipline and self-awareness...

Must increase my passion in doing good deeds and spread love...

Must stop wasting my time...

and

Be a Good Muslimah and Servant to Allah...

A 'Cockroach'iest Day

I gained a new experience today - how to deal with cockroaches.

WHaT?!

COCKroaches? hehe... (notty little me *wink*)

ok ok... it is ----> cockroaches...insects, pests etc....

I neither fear not like them...but today, I had to face them!

So here is the story:

I went out around 1130 am...I went to the Pasar Bulat, to buy some things for Ibu, then head to the interchange to meet bluefairy. She asked me to accompany her for some attire hunting. hehe..then we had our lunch at Ramen Ten....the Food was superbly Delicious!

The new Look of Ramen Ten

Chopsticks and serviette

That's me

Bluefairy

*Mine*

*Hers*

After the lunch, we rushed back to our house because someone will be coming over to repair my home PC. As soon as we reached my housing area, there is a insect fogging going on. Then I went into my house, and straight to my kitchen, and then I saw.....

COCKROACHES!!!!

BIG and small cockroaches!!!!!

All of them walking around my kitchen...so I declare war with them. Without waiting for more to come, I took my weapon -----> the insect repellent spray. YeaY! hehe

I sprayed and sprayed...until I, myself feel suffocated...haha...and here are the result:

Eyeeeew....

And of course, I won the war....MasyaAllah...hehe

It is a new experience for me. The cockroaches appeared because of the insect fogging. They thought that they can survive in my house, but they are wrong! Pity them....

Well, there is a lesson for me though....always remember to close the window properly when leaving the house. *sigh*

Down the memory lane...

Mushi-mushi peeps...

Today, Im gonna meet my lovely gurlfrens and hope that it will be fun...insyaAllah...

Well, as all of you know, on last Saturday, I had a trip to Malacca...

It was a fun, happy and exciting trip ever!

We went out early in the morning becoz Ayah's car has to go out from S'pore before 7 am..we pick up hanis and her sister around 6 am plus...then reached the Woodland immigration...There were a massive traffic jam...we got through around 7 plus...

Then we stopped by my uncle's house at Johore...Rest for a while and continued our journey around 10 am...we reached Malacca at 12 plus...

We picked up Neng at the Malacca Sentral, then headed to al-'Adzhim mosque to meet with Kak Fiza. As we arrived, Kak Fiza already waited for us at the main gate...then she lead us to her house. At her house, we were served with delicious food and as well as her good hospitality =)

Around 2 plus, we continued our journey to Nyalas and it took us around one and half hour to reach the place. As soon as we reached there, the first person that me and Neng saw was Abg Azlan! Hehehe...both of us were soooo excited that as we got out from the car, we ran after him (becoz we thought that he was about to leave).

"ABG AzlaaaaaN...!"

Both me and Neng shout. Hehe....then he smiled and quite surprised to see us.

After changing some news, we headed to the bride's house...And we met with some of our old classmates....Nazim came with his wife, Eisham were also there too *winks*, Kak Dila with her hubby - Abg Hafiz, and Kak Syamin with her hubby - Abg Zul.

We ate and then meet up with the bride and groom. Kak Hajar was stunningly pretty and she was not as loud as before. hehe. might bcoz of her husband, mayb =)

Then after a loooong conversation, it is time to wave goodbye to them. I was sad to leave them as there are a lot of memories that I shared with them...but that is Life....

We hugged and kissed...and waved goodbye to them, with hope to get to meet them in the future...

We started our journey back to S'pore...and then, somewhere in the journey, something happened.

While I was asleep, suddenly my hp rang. I looked at the screen, it was an unknown number.

"Hmmm...who could that be..." I thought and I answered it lazily.

"Assalamualaikum...Dyah ke ni?" the voice said.

"wsalam...a ah. Sape ni?"

"Ni abg Azlan la....abg nak sure kan Dyah maseh guna no ni atau tak..."

I was like "Duh...!" (in my heart la...hehe)

but instead I answered "Owh...maseh2..."

"Ok la tu je....Assalamualaikum."

After that, I continued my journey in my dreams. hehe. Then we had a stop somewhere in Johore becoz ibu wanted to buy some things.

Hanis, her sister and me went to the 7-11 and had a nice coffee break. I smsed him and apologize bcoz I didn't talked to him much.

These are a part of our smsed conversation:

Me: Abg Azlan, maaf eh tadi tak bebual sgt. Masa abg kol tu, saya tengah tido. hehe.

Him: oo ye ke? dah sampai S'pore? Masih comel dan manis mcm dulu. Abg lagi le comel. hi hi. so. skrg dah ada calon blm? bila habis belajar?

Me: Blm. Maseh pat johor. Saya tengah cuti. 22 dec nanti alek uia. Calon? belom ada lagi. Kalau nak carikan, boleh la...hehehe.

Him: Jadi calon abang je la. Kalau sudi, Tentu tak nak nye kan. tak hensem dah sekarang.

+Paused+

I was like...."WHAAAAAT?!"

Immediately I showed Hanis the msg and she smiled. She said "Kalau dia yang terbaik untuk ko, why not?"

then she told me to reply this "Errmmm...nanti mak abg pulak tak suka. Diah kan org s'pore."

I was expected of him to reply something negative, but instead he replied this:

"Wah. Sejarah tetap sejarah. Tak boleh dipadamkan gupenye. tu crita lamalah. skrg, abg dah pun menghabiskan perjalanan belajar abg yg panjang + pnuh liku2. Mak abg insyaAllah lebih neutral."

After that, we smsed for a long time. I found soooo hard to believe, after what had happened before....

I just hope and pray that if he is the one, Allah will make my heart accept him bit by bit.

InsyaALLAH...I only believe in ALLAH and HE knows the best for me.

The Beauty of Sacrifice

Today, I had a stroll in Downtown East, with my best GF, SHay.

We went window-shopping, bought some clothes, met with those we know and help her out at her shop.

She is one of my GF. I had a looot of GF, such as Khudaij, Hanis, Neng, Qad, Bluefairy, Snowputri and Ayu.

They are the one whom I seeked for advices, help out, shared my happiness and tears, spread my love, get scolded and many many more.

I am sooooo grateful for having them by my side and I always appreciate what they have done to me and treasure them as much as they have always treasured me.

Last Monday, 8th of Dec 2009, was the day of celebration for the Muslim all over the world.

It is the day of sacrifice.

It is the day of worship.

It is the day to prove our love towards our Lord.

I went out with my parent for a little 'Raya visit'.

After the Eid prayer, we went to my Grandma's house, then to Nek Anjang's house and Nek Anjang's daughter's house (i forgot her name la...haiyaaaa).

After that, we went to COURTS, because Ayah want to buy a new TV. hehe...

I always loved to follow my parents going house-visiting. because there will always be a lesson to be learn, such as a the visit to Nek Anjang's house. This is the first time whereby I actually get to have a conversation with her. And I found that she is really a nice and strong lady.

That goes also to my grandma. She is a strong lady and always strive hard to give us the best. Although sometimes she nagged and nagged, but it does not bother me much.

Thanks ALLAH for giving me such opportunities =)
